Gibbon II

Gibbon is a robot who is very sensitive, emotional and easy to get nervous of crowd. He serves as a host of a soap film show. While people get close to watch it, the arm he/she is facing will stop spraying bubbles. Gibbon is getting very likely to close all arms and stop the performance if here comes more people and stays around for a certain time – He wants to disappoint people and make them leave him alone. As a comment of “people-centeredness”, the work explores a new relation between human and robot who may have self-awareness and emotion through forming a delicate and unpredictable connection.
